Emergency and Non-Emergency Contact

Yes, non-emergency text messages can be sent to 469.215.6443. The Collin College Police Department does not have TTY/TDD capabilities. In an emergency, always call 911.
 

Campus Safety and Services


Yes, the Collin College Police Department offers safety escorts to vehicles, between classes, or to help locate a misplaced vehicle. Call 972.881.5656 to request a safety escort.

The Collin College Police Department provides battery jump-starts and can assist in contacting a locksmith or towing service. Call 972.881.5656 for motorist assistance.

No, Lost and Found is managed by each campus’s Student Engagement Office. If an officer finds a lost item (unless illegal), it will be turned in to that office.

Crime Reporting and Complaints


Call 911 or 972.578.5555 for emergencies. You can also visit a Collin College Police Department office on campus.

Contact the on-duty supervisor at the officer’s campus by calling 972.881.5656.

Complaints must be submitted in writing and signed. Forms are available online and at Collin College Police Department offices. Complaints should be directed to the on-duty supervisor or the Professional Standards Lieutenant.
 

Campus Regulations and Policies


Texas law allows licensed concealed carry on campus, but open carry is prohibited. Check Collin College’s campus carry page for details. The College prohibits the use, possession, or display of any illegal knife, club, or prohibited weapons, as defined by the Texas Penal Code and described in CHF(LEGAL).  For additional information regarding weapons and firearms, view the CHF (Local) & (Legal) Board Policy.
