John Paul II High School offers the opportunity for students to earn both academic and workforce dual credit in partnership with Collin College. Collin College dual credit classes are taught at John Paul II HS. To get started in the program, please meet with your high school counselor!

Meet with your High School Counselor!
- Discuss what opportunities may be available to you for dual or concurrent credit and find out if they have any specific dates, deadlines, or procedures you need to follow in addition to Collin College's.

Apply Online through Goapplytexas.org
- Application Tips
- Please allow 2-3 business days for your application to be processed
- Your CougarWeb login information will be emailed to your personal email once accepted
- Tip: be sure to check your junkmail folders if you do not receive this information
Step 3
Complete the Campus Safety Training

Step 4
Set up One Login & Collin Email
- Once you complete your campus safety training, you will receive your OneLogin credentials giving you access to your Collin College email address (usually the next morning).
- Tip: Stay connected by linking your personal email address to your Collin email.
- Tip: Set up OneLogin on a device that you will have access to at all times.
Step 5
Meet College Readiness standards for the TSI
- Option 1: Take the TSI
- Option 2: Request a dual credit waiver - email your score report to homeschool@collin.edu
- Option 3: Request a TSI exemption based on SAT or ACT scores
- Complete the Conditional TSI Compliance Contract (CTCC) and provide a copy of your unofficial scorereport to tsi_info@collin.edu
- Order your official score report to be sent to Collin College within 60 days
- Tip: As a dual credit student you can have a partial TSI status, or use a combination of the above to meet college readiness standards.

Submit your meningitis record or exemption through Med+Proctor

Complete your permission form with your high school counselor, and have them submit it on your behalf to your Special Admissions Coordinator

Clear any other holds on your account
- Hold Resolution Guide
- HS Permission form holds will remain on your account until HS Graduation

- Collin College will register you for your courses
- Work with your high school counselor on your course selection, they will provide this
information to our office.
- View the online schedule of courses and find a section that works for you
- Always choose the "Credit" option for the registration term (ex. Credit Wintermester&Spring2023)

- Please note:
- Students will only be registered for courses that they are eligible for based on TSI results or meeting prerequisite requirements (see course descriptions), we will notify you if we are unable to register you for a course and work with you to find an alternative option.
- Dual/Concurrent Credit students are not eligible to enroll in KINE/Kinesiology or developmental level courses.
- Work with your high school counselor on your course selection, they will provide this
information to our office.
- Collin College will register you for your courses
Step 10
Pay for your courses
- You will receive an email notification once you have been registered for your requested courses letting you know you can go in and complete payment
- Dual credit students must follow the payment deadlines and policies as determined by the Bursar's Office.
- Graduating seniors taking at least 6 credit hours may be eligible to apply for a scholarship through our Foundation Office

- Registration Deadlines:
- Early Registration and Payment deadline is November 30, 2022 at 7 PM
- After the Spring term Early Registration payment deadline date, payment must be made at the time of course registration to ensure course enrollment status, regardless of the start date of the course. An outstanding balance on a student account will result in registration and transcript holds on the account, and the registration status may also be changed.
- Hard Stop Registration Deadline: January 20, 2023*
- Early Registration and Payment deadline is November 30, 2022 at 7 PM
- Census Date (last day to drop): January 30, 2023*
- Withdraw Deadline: March 31, 2023*

- Summer I: June 5 to July 6 (5 week)

- Early Registration and Payment deadline is May 3, 2023 at 7 PM
- After the Spring term Early Registration payment deadline date, payment must be made at the time of course registration to ensure course enrollment status, regardless of the start date of the course. An outstanding balance on a student account will result in registration and transcript holds on the account, and the registration status may also be changed.
- Hard Stop Registration Deadlines: Adds and/or drops for a single summer term may be completed through the first day of the term.
