Collin College Continuing Education is proud to announce its new Esthetician program. This entry-level noncredit certificate program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and training to thrive in the facial esthetics and skincare profession. This program is in the process of gaining approval by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR). Contingent on approval, classes will begin in Spring 2024.
The program consists of 750 state-required classroom and lab contact hours. Students will be trained to recognize, assess, and perform esthetic treatments and procedures to improve the overall health condition of the skin. Upon successfully completing the program, students will be eligible to take the written and practical exams in facial esthetics regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Students will also receive an esthetics certificate of completion issued by Collin College.“This program provides students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and training to flourish in this high-demand industry as a skincare specialist and as an entrepreneur,” Esthetics Program Coordinator Ketia Bradley said. “It gives them an opportunity to step into their passion of beautifying others with confidence.”
The program also includes advanced courses for professional development licensed estheticians. Classes will be located at the Collin College Courtyard Center, 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano.
