Certified Bookkeeper

Collin College CE is preparing professional Bookkeepers to become Certified Bookkeepers through the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB).  By successfully passing tests, signing the code of ethics, and demonstrating two years of experience in bookkeeping, you will have met the high national standard in advanced bookkeeping.  Once certified, you will be able to proudly list this certification on your resume and business communications.

This course will benefit Bookkeepers who desire the credentials and recognition only found through national certification.

Certification Requirements

  1. Experience: at least two years of full-time experience (3,000 hours), part-time, or freelance equivalent, which may be obtained before or after passing the examination.
  2. Examination: candidates must pass a 4-part national examination. Two exams occur in the classroom and two exams occur at a Prometric Test Center in the metroplex.
  3. Code of Ethics: applicants must sign the Code of Ethics.
